Mount Baldy in Winter

This view of Mt Baldy was taken by Brian Harris on April 1, 2010. The Winter of 2009/2010 was mild. There was little snow in Alpine. This late snowfall was the beginning of a Spring cold snap that led to several weeks of snow. Lee Pickett took a photo of Mt Baldy in November 1925. The line of the trees against the snow is virtually identical to this image 85 years later. I don't know why trees don't grow on the top of Baldy.
